Common questions
Does it work with the POS we already have?
Most likely. The Shelvant agent reads item prices from POS databases (SQL Server, MySQL, SQLite, Access or any ODBC database) or from a scheduled Excel, CSV, JSON or dBase export. We confirm with your POS details before the pilot, and installation usually takes under an hour.
What about fresh and weighed products?
Loose goods without a barcode keep their shelf labels and scale prices. Shelvant covers the packaged, barcoded products where most price questions come from.
Can we use it in several branches?
Yes. Each branch has its own QR code and can have its own prices, all managed from one owner account.
